Most people look at the church as a building where they get their needs met. They adopt a consumer mentality, only showing up to use the many services that churches offer. These range from worship services to marriage counseling. Like many other areas in life people only seek to consume.
God never intended for church to be that way. Church is supposed to be a group of believers, that worship God, and evangelize to reach the world. As we continue to reach out we can then offer programs to help disciple people such as worship services, and marriage counseling.
Our job is to evangelize first. God helps us do this by:
Equipping us- He gives us all the tools we need Acts 1:8

Backing us up- We have been given authority Matt 16:18-19 Matt 28:18-20
