In order to experience a true revial it must start within you first. Revival starts when prayer, repentance, and evangelism ignites within you. Pentecost is dying because our focus has become centered on ourselves. We fail to realize that God will never share his glory. We we try to steal God’s glory by focusing on ourselves His power departs.
2 Chronicle 7:14-16
God is telling us that those who humble themselves and pray will benefit from his attentive ear. He will hear your prayer, He will answer, and He will forgive. There are many people who want everything that God has, but refuse to offer Him anything in return. They want God’s peace, joy, and love but will not give him their life.
Acts 19:11: The seven sons of Sceva wanted the power of God but they had no relationship with His son, Jesus. When they tried to use the authority of Jesus to cast out an evil spirit, the evil spirit overcame them and beat them out of their clothes. God’s power, and true revial comes with a prayerful relationship with Jesus. You will never have true power to change the world unless you are connected to God. Without a real connection with God you are subject to the atacks of Satan. Connected believers are able to withstand, deflect, and overcome these attacts of Satan. Unconnected people will always fall, fail, and suffer from these attacks.
Acts 2:17-18, Acts 1:4-8
Acts 3:1-10 A personal connection with God, allowed Peter and John to give what they had. Notice that this miracle happened during a time in which Peter and John were connected to God in prayer. This personal connection was able spill over into a corporate setting. If you want to experience a commuity, church, or worldwide revival you must have revival within you, and it starts with PRAYER.
The world is full of dysfunctional hurting people. It looks for quick fixes to its pain through drugs, sex, and greed. If you want to see change, and revival, it starts in you.
